OK finally got my LYD 48s last week and have been listening to all my reference tracks/ my mixes
and making assessments.
my original query was about having enough bottom end...
I am very happy to report that in my 3m x 4m x 3m reasonably well treated
studio there is more than enough bottom end..
the monitors are close to the front wall so am using the wall setting.
These monitors are a step up from what i was using (Yamaha NS20M)
across the whole frequency spectrum
the only thing im confused about is that with my old setup...
RME UFX into Mackie big knob into Perraux 80 watt amp Into NS20m
i would turn the Mackie knob to about 9 0clock
but the new setup needs to be at 12 oclock to achieve the same loudness
I wonder if i need to switch the LYDs to +6db sensitivity?? they are at 0db now
Its not a big deal just want to know ive got my gain structure right.
Anyway would recommend these as very good entry level 3 ways
thanks
