Thank you guys for sharing your systems!
This is my favorite thread.
Remember, bring those out as far into your room as you dare.

try 36” from the wall to front baffle

By coincidence:

The floor tiles you see in my pics are 18”.

They’re 2 tiles out from the wall.

Great, but can you play some electronic music or something a little more dynamic?

How would a Genelec 8050B compare to the Heritage special?
Yeah I know it's a weird comparison, but I'm wondering if they're on the same level, especially considering the price difference?

You're not going to find anyone who has heard both of those in the same room.

Anyone who replies is making shit up.

You shouldn't have written that, as we could have lied that the Genelec sounds so much better so he finally buys one and this non expedient posts all over the forum come finally to an end...

Not filled my stands. I know Dynaudio recommend it. In the past I have always, religiously, filled the speaker stands I have without a second thought. I once did an experiment with some Proac speakers comparing empty to half filled and then completely filled stands. I found the Proac's lost all their life with anything in the stands - always sounded better without.

I might try it with the Heritage Specials before the adapter plates arrive - see what difference it makes.

I will try to burn it in for a while and do some updates later.

If you set them on fire maybe they will burn faster?

You fought hard and you saved and earned
But all the things got to burn
Out your mind, your tiny mind
You know you've really been so blind
Now's your time, burn your mind

It hasn’t aged well.
