I heard those at AES conference in 2023. They were not played that loud but they produced some of the most incredible and accurate sound I have experienced. No doubt helped by famous music producers bringing their Atmos project files and playing them there.Yes it's a nice statement, but in a world where the Genelec 8381 exists, and for a lot cheaper, it doesn't raise an eyebrow.
Translation: less uglyI should add that the 15C is much more domestic decor friendly than the Genelecs.

HeresyI should add that the 15C is much more domestic decor friendly than the Genelecs.
Because that's what they are. They look like ovesized bookshelf speakers.
I know that Genelec can deliver them with a piano black finish for a good surcharge.I should add that the 15C is much more domestic decor friendly than the Genelecs.
Madness. Definitely targeting the 0.1% of the population.I hear the price is $130k

Yeah, my chance of getting the 8381 in the living room and also staying married is a little lower than winning the lottery while simultaneously getting hit by lightning. The 15C is at least not going to make anyone question my sanity if I bring it up, at least until the price tag appears.I should add that the 15C is much more domestic decor friendly than the Genelecs.

($130K, was not expecting it to move so firmly into the 6 figures... wow)
I guess I will only be putting two pairs in my super-yacht, instead of doing a full atmos setup. Too bad.
A serious comment on the price: If they have built a speaker that could actually be said to be worth that much in the same sense that a Genelec 8030 is worth $1600 per pair, I'm in favor of that. Obviously they won't have the same bang for buck, but if the concept of bang for buck even still rationally applies, and they have managed to extend that into the 6 figure range, that's not a bad thing.
I will probably never buy one, might never hear one, but if the price / quality curve doesn't totally break down with these, that's good for the industry in some way.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those rich haters nor am I one of those who are repulsive of expensive luxury good. I fully believe in the existence of such products and be nice if I was one of those who is able to afford such luxury product.Somebody is going to be competing in that price ballpark, and somebody is going to be making those sales. Why shouldn't it be Dutch & Dutch?
(And just for the record, I'm in favor of being inclusive towards those who spend much more on audio than "we" do, as well as towards those spend much less on audio than "we" do.)
Whether it’s speakers, automatic Swiss watches or kitchen cabinets, I struggle to see the value in certain goods. On the surface it just seems like a lot of markup.Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those rich haters nor am I one of those who are repulsive of expensive luxury good. I was just $150k is madness for the 99.9% of us. And couldn't agree more that D&D is one of th prefer companies to be playing in that space than a some snake oil company.
