Dutch & Dutch 15C Discussion

Those without the dosh could consider the still impressive JBL 4367 with 15" bass to upper mid driver and say, a Benchmark amp to drive them, total cost well under twenty grand in pounds or dollars I think.

I got the possible size wrong, so maybe the same as regards costs, but would these new models really be north of fifty grand the pair? Truth will out I'm sure and good luck to the company!
£50k that’s PMC/ATC pricing but with hugely better performance.

For the moment, we are only dealing with speculation and assumptions, but if the 15 C fall within the 30 K range, I would consider selling my 4367 and everything that comes with it.

100% on speculation... $30K range? No way.
In their press release they mention limited production. It will be quite expensive.

Seems like competition...

This would still be excellent, but lacks the cardioid loading, the DSP, and the two built in subs.

Yes I know, but the JBL has a decent 15" bass-mid driver and more than acceptable integration with the wave-guided tweeter despite 'only' being a passive model. It's 'big hearted' tones are so addictive and if raised a little above the floor, I'm sure could entertain a domestic listener for many years. State of the art? 'Course not guv'nor, but for twenty grand or so with amp, it's a heck of a lot cheaper for a big-box sound of some quality ;) (I loved the pair I heard).

The flagship by Dutch & Dutch.

15" woofer + (likely compression) HF driver in 15" waveguide + 2x 15" suwoofers.

95 cm high and 56 cm wide.
I still don't get the stand mount thing?
At their size they could easily be made as a tower, using the extra cabinet volume to lower bass extension and/or increase efficiency ???
Even a place to put the amps for cooler running.
I guess this is just a lifestyle design statement but still --------------

I had same comment earlier, and I agree, make em a floor stander … my guess is to be able to bracket mount for studio use? Also I suspect an additional bass bin may be coming that could be used as a stand ;)

May have something to do with the cardioid functionality, as you need a certain amount of air coming out the sides of the cabinet at a certain distance from the woofer, with the internal path length also being a factor. Just speculation on my part.

Sub module underneath!

Nope … floorstanders support cardioid just fine

Sure OK, but with 2x 15" woofers built-in I wouldn't think you'd need one. LOL ;)
Eight more 15” underneath, for above average size living rooms.
