any ideas?

For Black and Tan Fantasy there is Ellington’s complete Decca recordings, titled Black and Tan Fantasy, 1926-1928.

Creole Love Call from I guess around 1930 is on The Essential Duke Ellington.

Both seem like modern remasterings of these early recordings and sound very Ellingtonian.

There are much more modern (1959, I’m still not born yet though) versions on a medley at track 10, disc two of Ellington’s Live at the Blue Note.

Just listened to all three, they all sound like good renditions to me, but the earlier versions I find more interesting and concentrated in musical gravitas, shall we say, even if the sound cannot approach the later recording.

Hope this helps. :)
