Hi!
Just wondering if its worth grabbing a pair of DT 990 Pro or is the HD 560s I already own, just as good for Studio.
Mainly this is for when I am editing my Youtube videos which are either talking head or some outdoor photoshoots as well
if you have a better suggestion than either that is worth the extra, let me know.
For example, the HD 490 Pro came up during my research but if I dont have to spend that much, then even better! :D
Thanks!

Both are reviewed here on ASR. The Sennheiser was recommended but the Beyerdynamic was not. (Both can benefit from EQ.) The HD490 Pro was also "not recommended".

Headphone "sound" is mostly frequency response (which can be tweaked with EQ*). So, is there something specific about the Sennheisers that you want to improve/change?
Different people do have different preferences and unlike with speakers and electronics we usually don't want "flat" frequency response.

With headphones there is almost no correlation between price and sound quality, and in a blind listening test the odds are you wouldn't choose a super-expensive headphone. But of course the higher your budget the more choices you have.

*Sometimes if you boost the bass you end-up pushing the headphone or headphone amp into distortion.

I would suggest to use what you have, you are already familiar with the sound profile so you can match what you are editing to sound like what is familiar to you and it is already a nice headphone with good detail. If you purchase a new headphone, even a "more neutral" one EQ-wise it will hurt your production since you are going to have to relearn how to work with it. I know several people that do mixing or were in popular touring bands and when I asked about this for my own setup this is what they all said to me.

For listening pleasure though it is a different matter but for recording and mixing it's a tool you have to remember it as such. If it's not working in some way you should be able to specify why it is not working for you then use that knowledge to find a better solution.
