DT 880 Pro (250Ω) replacement recommendation

Which headphone should I get for my next decade?

Cheap, closed and good sounding (measuring) with an unknown seal (not everyone may be able to get a good seal) is hard to find.
Seal is the biggest problem for closed headphones in general.
The second biggest hurdle is to get a good even frequency response out of them. This is much easier to achieve with an open headphone.

If you do not have big ears and don't mind to EQ the bass down the DT 270 PRO as well as the Adam Audio H200 are cheap alternatives.
Without EQ both are kind of boomy/fat in the lows. The H200 is lacking the upper treble a bit.
Both are wired headphones and more sensitive than DT770/250.

Thanks @solderdude! Those are solid modern options, and both include free software for further customization.

The DT270 Pro is a really good deal with the accessories and software for basically the same price I paid for the JT7. But being closed back, it can be used in a wider variety of environments. Fiio is now offering super cheap Bluetooth headphones that have EQ correction with an app - perhaps something like this will someday be a contender for entry level studio cans used for basic monitoring and tracking? Or is latency a dealbreaker?

If you're in the US, Newegg has coupons on Beyerdynamic fairly frequently and the 270 is $115 with coupon right now. ($130 - $15 coupon code)
