Heh, some of the statements made in that article seem at least questionable to me.

For example, take a look at this one: "Russia’s bomber aircraft date back to the Soviet era, so despite the alarm they provoke when they nudge at Western countries’ airspace, they pose no major threat in themselves. "

And than look at this video:

Anyway, the whole idea of America and Russia attacking each other with anything other than rocket weapons seams pretty unrealistic to me. As rockets armed with conventional warheads simply cannot do the job in a reasonable ammount of time soon some heavier and heavier stuff would start to be used: chemical, biological and eventually nuclear. For that reasson I want to believe such conflict would never happen, as in my opinion nobody could win WW3, with or without nuclear weapons.

Take the entire article as thought-provoking.

Russia has a GDP lower than Canada. This doesn't give them much backing for a large-scale long term conventional warfare.

Cool heads are needed at the top. At present I feel somewhat nervous about that.

We all are. Some people would certainly do better if staying in the hotel&casinos business than leading the most powerfull country in the world.

The leaders of Russia and China and their cadres appear to me to be more politically experienced and astute than POTUS and his 'you can be fired, anytime' and self-destructing appointees. Just an outsiders limited view, of course. Nothing is like might-is-right, right. Not always.

I agree, to me he simply doesn't seem to be up to his job and as time passes by that seems to become obvious more and more. And that's what's making me uncomfortable.

Well, it is an American thing. However, the path that is being followed is, ironically, more likely to make China relatively greater in importance as the US becomes more insular(lesser) internationally.
