Douk Audio TPA3255 Amplifier with HPF is Coming! Let's Shape it Together!

So you are saying the douk a5 is not good? In your opinion which amp has the best pffb implementation so far and also has Bluetooth?
It is not just "good", it is perhaps the best thing money can buy in a case where one is satisfied with the features of the product. I have been using it for a while now and it is flawless - not only it allows for a proper subwoofer integration due to high-pass filter, but it also needs less power (smaller power supply, runs significantly cooler with 32V compared to 48V) when the high-pass filter is used as supposed. Not only the above mentioned Aiyima does not offer this feature, but it is also twice the price. Even if it was the same price, I'll still go for the Douk A5 - to me the subwoofer integration is more important than the difference in the (not-so-holy grail as marketed) PFFB.

The A5 is not good within the field of PFFB amps, neither does it have bluetooth. I am not aware of PFFB amps with bluetooth - maybe Aiyima? But if you are going to stream via bluetooth (unless its one of the near-lossless variants) then you don't need PFFB anyway because compressed music has much worse distortion than - 90 dB.

It certainly is the only one with a high pass filter (with the exception of the Wiim Amp Pro which has both HP and low passed sub out with a proper DSP filter). But even that high pass is not well implemented. The video has a frequency response measurement, and when the HP is set within its lower range, the filter response has considerable gain peaking.

What video are you referring to? Because I was curious about the quality of the HPF on this thing, along with the falloff curve and if it would match standard sub LPF falloffs like on my SVS to match up for a solid crossover point.

I was seriously considering this amp for a minute simply for the adjustable HPF. But I guess that's silly when I've got a better amp sitting right here. (Or at least I'm assuming the Emotiva A2m Flex is better for my bookshelves at nearfield.) I just need to wait patiently for Fosi or Douk or someone to release a simple transparent pre-amp with a quality adjustable HPF so I can use it with what I've already got!

Sure wish @amirm would test this!

Thanks for posting that video @capslock A shame to see that bump in the HPF. Unfortunately in this video we're seeing measurements when set at 30hz and 200hz, two settings that I doubt many will use. Wonder what it is when set around 60-90hz. Would be nice if it looks like that 200hz setting!

Very interesting stuff.
