I'm looking into acquiring a classy solid-state analog preamp (more out of experimentation/curiosity). I'm rather happy with my T8pro serving as an equalizer-preamp in between a Topping E70-Velvet DAC & a beefy power amplifier (see setup in my sig)... would it be okay for me to daisy-chain the T8pro once I get a dedicated pre-amp?
Basically, it would go like this: DAC > T8pro > analog preamp > power amp
Or would it make more sense to just remove the T8pro from the equation (one of my gripes with the T8pro is it doesn't have a remote control to change volume). I do really like the T8pro due to the fact that it adds that "tube" sound (I changed the tubes to GE 6CG7, and they sound so smooth), not to mention the EQ controls... so I do like the idea of keeping them in the system chain. Thoughts?
