Douk Audio G7 is Coming! TPA3255 Amplifier with a Built-in Power Supply!

Thank you for providing these samples. We have collaborated with Ampapa on the D1, which may meet your needs. This model is equipped with an OLED display, and these VU meter styles will be displayed in digital form instead of traditional analog.
can you be a little bit more clear about the VU meters? will it be possible to choose a certain style of "meters" on the OLED display?
you really should add more detailed info on the website

Yeah, the OLED display can show 7 types of VU meter, you can choose and switch. It will be released soon and I will post the link to show more details then. :)----This feature is for the Ampapa D1 amplifier not the G7 discussed in this thread.

This model with the OLED screens is a different product then the G7 talked about here, correct?

Hi, sorry for any misunderstandings I may have caused. The VU meter on the G7 discussed in this post is fixed and cannot be adjusted. The D1, which we collaborated with Ampapa on, features an OLED display with seven VU meter modes, allowing for flexible selection. This one looks super quite identical to Aiyima A80 except the HPF knob and top glass.

NJW1194 for EQ function
Can we please stop calling this a DSP! All these Chinese companies incorporating this chip seem to be do this. It’s not a DSP. It’s a digitally controlled analog volume control with tone controls.

It's not DSP but tone controls are really nice, I love them on my Geshelli Archel 3! It gave such life to older headphones like my Aeon Closed... Honestly with tone controls it sounds very close to a stealth...

For all I care it’s the best thing since sliced bread. That’s not the point! The point is that this is not a DSP! So don’t call it that!

the misunderstandings are caused by your half informative posts on this thread since the moment you bounced it with the announcement on the new amp availability.

maybe it's time you write CLEARLY its exact feature list including what it can and cannot do, because this thread is a mess. this is what i have so far for the G7:
NOT Dual mono
NOT real vu meters (LCD with fixed display of digital VU meters
NO PFFB
NO DSP
3255x2 chips are used ONLY when 2 sets speakers are used (4 channels) - if used with only 2 speakers, one chip is being used only. (did I get this right?)
tone controls
internal 48V/10A PSU
i only listed features that are relatively unique to other 3255 amps currently on the market

As I also spend lots of my time tilting at windmills, I have a number of lists you might find entertaining.

Hi, thanks for pointing out this, and really sorry for the misunderstanding. :(
For the G7:
Not dual mono, but stereo 2.0 and 2 x stereo 2.0, it can connect 1 pair or 2 pairs of passive speakers at the same time.
Real VU meters, the G7 adopts blue analog VU meters, fixed and not support any adjustments.
NO With PFFB.
NO DSP, it adopts NJW1194 for tone control.
Yeah, one 3255 for one group output, if used it for 2.0 output, one 3255 will work.
Internal 48V/10A PSU.

Hi, I just confirmed with our engineers again, he said that G7 do have PFFB! We will update it soon.
Ok, this is great news... you guys need to get that information out there to potential customers. :)

PFFB have become selling point for good reason, should be on product page in big bold letters.
If it has almost flat frequency response like Douk A5 then thats another point to highlight on front.

What exactly do the meters show (scale) ? dB, output power (if so in what impedance) ?
What characteristics ? (VU, peak, something else ?)
Do they look like McIntosh meters ?

Just for show (just swinging needles) or with actual functionality (accurately showing peaks/average levels) ?

Yeah, one 3255 for one group output, if used it for 2.0 output, one 3255 will work.
The use of two TPA3255s with two channels and the resulting load stability of up to 2 ohms would have been the most important feature of this amplifier for me personally.
Why didn't you make this switchable so that you can switch between 2 and 4 channel operation?
