Douk Audio G7 is Coming! TPA3255 Amplifier with a Built-in Power Supply!

Wow, it looks great! For the 4 channel mode, does it work from a single input? Like 2 Channels in -> 4 Channels out (duplicated)?
Also it looks like it has volume bypass mode? If so I am very interested to get my hands on one.
Yeah, in 4CH mode, it's not real 4.0 channel output but duplicated 2.0 channel output.
G7 with bypass mode, bypass both volume and tone control. :)

Might've missed this, but is the color of the vu meters customizable? I think I'd prefer a more neutral or warm white look. Now they're giving me heavy "Advance Paris" vibes.

Hello, thank you to everyone who contributed suggestions for this built-in power supply 3255 amplifier—it was truly brought to life by your ideas!
Due to various constraints such as cost and design, not every suggestion could be implemented this time. However, all of them have been documented and shared with our team for potential application in future products.

This amplifier model is designated as G7. It was officially launched in August and is currently in mass production.

For more information, please check out:

We will also reach out to Amir shortly to see if he’s interested in reviewing this model. If anyone in ASR is interested in trying out or purchasing the unit (with a big discount), please feel free to contact me directly.

Once again, big thanks to all ASR members for your inspiration and insights! :)

@Douk Audio Congratulations
Indeed a beginning of something people have been asking on different forums.
Quite a package of mix bag features:
- Dual-mono TPA3255 design with 2 / 4 channel amplification
- Dual VU meter
- Digital Volume/Tone Control, with bypass
- Multiple RCA inputs, + XLR/TRS
- 12v triggered in
+ Remote <edit: added>

Would you be able to confirm a few things as well:
- Does is use PFFB?
- THD + N mentioned is 0.002% which turns out around 80 dB (if I am not mistaken), however a picture indicates 92 dB SINAD. Which one is accurate?
- 0.002% THD+N or -92dB SINAD <edited>

- Frequency response for 4 and 8 ohm both load.

That looks very good overall.
There are different specifications for the power supply unit on your website.
Which ones are correct?

Hi, the color of the VU meters is fixed to Blue. Maybe later we will try using a VU meter with switchable colors just like our VU360 which is coming soon. Thanks for your opinions! :)

You are mistaken... 80dB SINAD would be 0.01% THD+N.

0.1% THD+N = 60 dB SINAD
0.01% THD+N = 80 dB SINAD
0.001% THD+N = 100 dB SINAD

Miscalculated, actually wrong internet calculator but found the correct one now.
Thanks

Hello DOUK AUDIO :)

I congratulate you on your creativity: your device looks very interesting.

In addition, I realize that there is finally a marketer who is distributing a device with a PSU worthy of the name with excellent performance if the announced Ripple and the continued power handling are confirmed

Hi, thanks for your comment. I've confirmed with the data with our engineers and product details creator, the power efficiency is 94.59% when tested under 230V. As for the ripple, the data is wrong and its performance is almost as the same as other 48V5A power adapters in the market, we've updated the details already.

Thanks for bringing this to market. A dual-mono 3255 is all I can imagine needing at this point in my life, though (like most of us here) I enjoy dabbling in all sorts of things !

That said, the image from your website showing amber meters is tantalizing. Avoids the "McIntosh knockoff" look. I'd also vote for block lettering rather than any version of commercial script. More discreet and less pretentious. JMO ofc.

Congrats on bringing such a nifty product to market so quickly.

Thank you for your appreciation and suggestions for G7. G7 is not dual-mono amplifier, it only supports 2.0 stereo and 2 x 2.0 stereo. May I know why dual-mono function is so important for you?

Backlit meters are also appealing, particularly in listening rooms with subdued lighting. Just more food for thought.

Thank you for providing these samples. The analog VU meter of the G7 is fixed to blue and doesn't support any adjustments. We have collaborated with Ampapa and releasd the D1, which may meet your needs. The D1 is equipped with an OLED display, and support 7 VU meters and these VU modes will be displayed in digital form instead of traditional analog.
The picture below is of the Ampapa D1 amplifier not the G7 discussed in this thread.

Is G7 not using 2 x TPA3255 chips?
Pictures on your website shows 2 x tpa3255 chips.

Now I'm really confused. Anyway, in answer to the question upthread, I'm not obsessed with dual-mono but all things equal I'd prefer it. Maybe the advantage is mostly theoretical, idk.

Oh, and also, in my random perambulations I did come across a good backlit meter. From none other than...
