Hi ASR,
Ok, I am looking for advice. Due to not being professionally educated on this particular subject I am always in need of validation before any decision should be made. This is why I came here to you ASR.
I have the Douk EQ9 and the Denon PMA900HNE amp. I am using the EQ9 between a CD Player and the amp. I have only had this up and running for a day or so and suddenly became a little concerned over the output of the EQ9 and the input sensitivity of the Denon amp. I don’t want to fry the amp. There is a boost in signal when using the EQ9 with its 2v output but the Denon has an 0.106mv input sensitivity on the aux RCA. See pics.
Is the EQ9 to hot for the amp? The DCD-900NE has 2.2v rms output as well so it looks like the question is answered but again the input sensitivity of the amplifier is way lower which is where my ignorance is in regards to understanding what it may afford or not. So the CD player and EQ9 seem to be fairly evenly matched but when using them and pressing bypass the volume does drop a fair bit, a guess around 3-5db so there is amplification on behalf of the EQ9. I apologise if I am wasting time here or worried about nothing but I thought I would ask for the sake of negating any risk as most should if in doubt. Thanks for any help with this issue and any forthcoming clarification.
