Anybody else curious about the performance of the ADCs in USB-C audio dongles?

The Apple dongle has an ADC for microphone support. Searched around for a bit, but haven't found much about the ADC yet.
Another example is the Meizu HiFi DAC, they say it supports microphone input. (This one has a CS43131 DAC so the ADC must be in another chip, there's no datasheet for the chip used in the Apple dongle.)

Yeah, absolutely. Especially the Apple USB-C dongle, since Crinacle uses it for IEM FR Measurements.

@amirm

Do you still have some of these dongles on hand? If so, is it possible for you to measure the line in performance?

ADCs should be around 10dB short in terms of specs, at least for Realtek. But their usage is minimal - it's a mono channel and you need earphones with mics. Or an adaptor. Apple can record 24/48 max, Meizu can do 16/48 only, thanks to CS46L41 I reckon. Should be roughly similar to CS42L42: Mono mic input with 114 dB dynamic range or SNR 99 dB, mic input 48 kHz...who knows what it is.
