Does this mic capsule need cleaning?

I just purchased a used Rode NT1. I have inspected the capsule and it has some dust on it. Is this normal / ok or does it look excessive and need cleaning? Thank you. Joe

Totally fine, you’ll likely ruin it trying to clean it. I have mics I’ve owned for 20 years that are way way dirtier looking and perform fine.

Thank you so much. That’s really great to know and reassuring too. I literally just tested the mic for the first time a couple of minutes before seeing your reply. I did the breath test and there were no issues and then I used my voice with it and was blown away. It sounds amazing. Thank you again for putting things in context and giving me peace of mind.
