Hello folks,
title says it all. Google and it’s AI say yes, but as always, their source is unreliable, someone swapping the tweeters and then talking of Hifi Heaven. We all know how much worth this is. Maybe someone did the swap and knows reliable data. All the best, Herbert

They appear very similar in frequency response and impedance, you could very likely replace one with the other successfully without requiring crossover design changes.

Many thanks! I assume you have checked the datasheets?

Yes, they are essentially the same driver:

"*Makes a great replacement for the original KRK V8 Tweeter TWTK00002 (not for Series 2)* and CV AT15 DH-5 4 tweeter.
Please note this is the same as the Vifa D27TG35-06. In 2005, Vifa was acquired by Tymphany along with Peerless and Scan-Speak."

It is the Vifa D26TG35-06…

Sorry, I didn't read properly.
The bevel of the D26 surrounding the tweeter is different.

D27:

This may or may not be an issue. The D26 has different on-and off-axis behavior than the D27.

The electrical characteristics are similar, but the different faceplate looks to be altering the response.
I'm not sure if the resonance frequency change is due to the faceplate though.

It's possible the diaphragm is the similar or even the same. In which case the existing drivers could be rebuilt (assuming you have the originals). I see replacements sold on eBay that look like D27 diaphragms to my eye. But I already missed the difference between 26 vs. 27!!! I would reach out to The Speaker Exchange and see what they say.

You mean D26 diaphragms:) The I do not want to rebuild them. Also, I do not want to mess around with ferrofluid, which is also expensive, therefor the replacement. Thanks for the datasheets! But they did not mark the colors. I assume, blue is on axis, the rest…? But if my eyes do not deceive me, the graphs of the D27 look overall better than the D26. Front of the speaker is damped with felt btw. Interestingly, in the datasheet from Tymphany, the D27 has the same peak after 10kHz as the D26
