I found revelations from ex-CIA agent John Kiriakou stunning.

Yes. Just not the way you're thinking, they use 500lb GPS guided JDAMs and rooms full of people who make it happen. The rest get hauled off to secret jails and prisons throughout the world, mostly to countries where these people are already wanted. The rest is pure fantasy.

Does anyone here know what circuitry/programing it would take (remotely) to change my Smart TV speaker into a Microphone?
I stopped watching after that comment...

I don't know about people, but they made my cat disappear for while. Then he reappeared.
May not be CIA. Did he happen to mention being abducted by aliens?

A speaker cone will vibrate a coil in a magnetic field from the sound in the room and generate a tiny voltage. Amplify it and you’ll have a decent microphone.

I don't know, but I always thought the price of smart TVs was subsidized by the data collecting they do, so I don't use the streaming features built into mine, and in fact, I don't have it connected to my network. And because I'm a cheapskate when it comes to utility bills, I disconnect it from the utility grid when I'm not watching. I also routinely deactivate features like voice command on my various devices, not out of fear of government spooks, but because any user data that can be monetized, will be monetized.

BTW, plate glass windows can also be used as sound pickup devices, with the aid of a laser listening device.

Yep just put an opamp that's not on the official circuit diagrams in there connected to an ADC and you've got 1984 to the letter, no big deal. Most modern TVs are uploading data to the manufacturer anyway, so nothing would seem unusual...

And if you think governments won't sabotage consumer supply chains like that, a few middle Eastern former owners of pagers would like a word.

Why go through all that trouble? People voluntarily buy always-on smartphones, Amazon Echo's, Apple Homepods, smart refrigerators, etc. This may not work in dense population centres, but in Australia we use mobile phone pings to help solve crimes. For e.g. the Leongatha mushroom murders were solved by tracking the pings of the suspect's mobile phone and by looking at her search history.

Some how the CIA can sneak into my home, add this circuitry to my smart TV without me knowing. They are just as good as the Easter Bunny when it come to stealth...

Not saying that’s what they do, but it is entirely possible to do so. Requires a minimum of circuitry that will not be obvious or suspicious and may already be a part of the smart TV, ready to be triggered by an outside signal.

People post everything the CIA wants to know on there social media so yea why bother.
And now people dont have to be dissapeared, you can watch them be blown up on the internet and nobody does anything. Government murder in the US has become acceptable.

I once discussed employment with them, but declined pursuing it further. I was a bit concerned with their 'retirement' plan...

This is far less likely since television sets aren't made in this country. I doubt the tariffs would provide much incentive for overseas manufacturers to comply if such a "request" was made by the US.
Bezos and Amazon are in a completely different position...
