Hi,
I have two Sonus Faber venere 2.5, five speakers of Klipsh Quintet II and Klipsh sub.
The speakers are connected as 7.1 ( with two high front klipsh speakers).

I am looking to buy new Receiver that will be suitable to my needs and will push effectively the sonus faber. In addition, I want to replace the center speaker.

We are using the system mainly for Home theather, TV and music shows. Small portion of the use is for hearing music.

I saw good reviews about the Denon 4700 but not sure if it will be able to push effectively the 6 ohm sonus faber 2.5. In addition, i received a proposal to buy Arcam Av10 or Arcam Av20 which are much expensive.

I will appricate your response on which Receiver is better to buy

Thanks

Based on specs and measurements, the Denon is clearly a better buy. Some users of those Arcam will tell you theirs sound better but that's subjective so it may or may not apply to you. Any such receivers can "push" your Sonus Faber depending on your distance, spl you need mainly. You can add an external 300 W per channel power amp, and it would give you about 3 dB more headroom over the Denon. More power (I prefer "current" actually, but.." (during peak requirements) than your speakers need based on your requirements will do nothing, if not put to use, but physics never stop people from claiming otherwise.

This is probably your best bet, given the modest performance of the amplification in most AV receivers. It will also leave the other amplifier channels with a larger slice of the power supply.
