Does anyone else like FM radio?

How do you do that?
Can you share a WSJ link with AI bot?
It may make them more centered! ;)
My public library has access to private money to pay for patron access to the WSJ - which allows a set number of links to be gifted monthly. :)

Yup.

Not so much for any kind of pop music anymore, but we settle in with a local jazz station every night, played through the hi-fi rig.

FM enjoyer here. That’s a big reason why my two systems are centered around receivers.

I’m too cheap to pay for cable, so I can listen to baseball for free on FM. I also do a local news station. Especially in the car in the morning on the way to the train. Just catching a few headlines. These are the only ad-supported stations I listen to.

Philadelphia has a decent variety station called 88.5 WXPN that my wife and I contribute to. I believe it’s affiliated with University of Pennsylvania. Temple University runs a classical during the day and jazz at night station. Their HD2 station flips the format. We also get Princeton University’s station WPRB loud and clear.

Not often, but today I’ve plugged in my Luxor 7082-T tuner. I thought I’d try listening to the FM sports radio broadcast while watching the World Cup bronze medal match in football between England and France today.:)

But until then... right now, I’m going to listen to:

Watching the bronze medal match OTA. It’s been nice how much of the World Cup has been available for free. (In the US).

Douk Audio includes an FM tuner in their 'B1FM' desktop Bluetooth receiver with remote control for $119.99 at Amazon USA.

The Douk Audio 'B1FM' is currently selling for $59.99 at Amazon USA:

I used to love FM... in the 70's & 80's. Alice radio in the Bay Area was good in the 90's. Since the 2000's the only FM radio I listen to is NPR. The vast majority of modern popular music just plain sucks. If I listen to music in the car, and that's a very rare if, it's always 320kb/s MP3s of my music.

I have an oldie-but-goodie Pioneer TX-9800 tuner sitting on my desk that I haven't gotten around to putting in my stereo system. I just don't know what I'd listen to if I did. The only local station I'd even consider listening to is BOB-FM.

Seems like nobody cares....
Yes!
One thing becomes clear, after all these pages.
FM is not something you'd be using for 'critical listening'... or even consider taking it home to meet Mama!

That's one of the sad ironies of HiFi. FM live broadcasts used to be the highest form of fidelity available to a home listener, but an early example of 'enshittification', where sonething good has been progressively made worse, to the point it's pretty useless.

About what?
Certainly you're not speaking of FM, at least in the context of this thread.
Somebody cares about FM -- given that this thread's thirty-nine pages long... and not all of the posts are from me. ;)
That's not what I meant -- I was referring to the fact that some members poured a heartfelt sentiment into their replies here and no one even liked the comments (I'm one of those people who shared my continuing passion for the format and received zero feedback, which is what I meant by "seems like nobody cares").

I do, in fact, care about FM and stated so a couple of posts back.

Seems like nobody cares....
I used to care!
So much so that, I may be a member-unicorn who even owned a few (tweaked) CB radios (pre-radar days) so that we knew where the 'ticket masters' were hiding...
OK, so maybe it's just the two of us...
These 2 'toys may be pushing us into the OT zone:

OT+ >> The ICOM IC-R1 had the cordless-phone frequencies blocked (stoopid FCC) and mine had to be sent to Canada in order to unblock them...
...'unblocked" not because I was an eavesdropper but the last time I had checked the airwaves still belonged to the people.
 and if you want secure communications; then the onus is on you to encrypted them and not to push FCC to un-allocate that band.
