Do you think it's a bad thing or a good thing that a manufacturer is present both within the studio market and the hifi market?

Crossover is fine, Kali Audio and Genelec have broad appeal in both markets, not to mention Dynaudio.

I generally like things that look a bit higher-end than some black boxes, but my Q1 Metas and IN-5s break that rule equally.

So all those poor measuring loudspeakers reviewed in Stereophile you believe they measure and then completely disregard those measurements?
I don't read Stereophile.
It’s not true that major loudspeaker manufacturers don’t measure, it's quite the opposite. All established brands work with anechoic chambers, Klippel systems and extensive measurement equipment. This includes KEF, Bowers & Wilkins, Dynaudio, Genelec, Harman (JBL, Revel, Infinity), Focal and of course also German manufacturers such as Neumann, Geithain, Canton, Heco, Magnat or KS Audio. Without precise measurements, neither product development nor quality control would even be possible.

It could be that the fact that some speakers show “poor” results in Stereophile’s measurements (which one exactly do you mean?) doesn’t mean they weren’t measured but could just mean the designers had other priorities.

Some manufacturers deliberately voice their products by ear (e.g. Harbeth, Spendor or certain B&W models) and accept deviations in the frequency response in order to achieve their signature sound.

In short: all major manufacturers do measure and poor measurement results are the consequence of design choices, not the absence of measurement tools.
