Do I Need 2 Subs?

So here’s where I am at the end of day one with one of two subs on the floor:

I was able to smooth out the midrange and lower end fairly well I think except for something going on at 50 hz which I can’t seem to get out of its hole. Hopefully once the second sub comes in tomorrow I’ll be able to setup some PEQ on that sucker. Maybe I’ll be able to stop on that little burp around 70 hz as well. I’ve no idea what’s going on around 10k hz. That’s new since I started moving things around. I don't think I’ve materially changed the toeing on the speakers though I have moved them in / out a bit. It has to be positional. I haven’t run WiiM’s RC from different listening positions yet. I’ll do that tomorrow when I’ve some more energy. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to blend the sub into the Lintons. They sound like separate speakers at the moment… Western world drama…

Delighted with any setup tips…

A workaround could be splitting the subwoofer channel and do sweeps and measurements on them individually (1 subwoofer) and correct via the dsp in the svs and the parametric eq.
This is pretty much what I’ve come to understand as the only way to work with the sub(s). I’ve had to run WiiM’s RC, look at the sweep results, tweak the PEQ in the SVS app (only 3 PEQ values can be set btw), then sweep again for results, rinse / repeat… It’s tedious, but it works… I should be more enthusiastic because it actually does work. It’s just time consuming and then it’s time for listening adjustments… Though I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought about buying a cheap laptop with an external mic and REW… Ack! Thanks for the reply though. Sincerely appreciate the thoughts.

When going from 1 sub to 2, the position of the original sub is likely no longer the best position for it.
I’m hoping that I can keep them off axis beside my couch, but will need to wait and see what tomorrow brings. Positive thinking…
