I still use a radian 5208, you can see measurements in https://www.avsforum.com/threads/su...2104738/page-2?post_id=38398305#post-38398305 , it's similarly rough but tbh it sounds fine once you get the xo right (I recall going too low sounded really bad on certain female vocals)

My system will be fully active with IIR and FIR, so not too worried about deviations in FR, as long as there is linearity off axis.

Yes, altho I had missed the particular drivers so not so much a question of driver size as I was concentrating on.....but still somewhat curious what your aim was in your modeling.

Full 20hz-20kz accurate sound reproduction, in 3.2 or 3.3 configuration for movies and music, and just as important, as aesthetically pleasing as possible.

Typically axial response and off axis vary, you can see the same in the link, so that's not something that can be eq'ed out. It is what it is for many coaxes.

That's why I'm looking at stealing the best available from Kef, and waiting for measurements on the new SB15BAC-30 coax.

@Digital_Thor do you have some measurements to share with your Kef coax arrangement?

I'm considering a thicker front baffle to carve out a both wave guide like the Blades, and not relying on standard trim piece from the R line. Id like to get measurements as well since I'm still finalizing my drawings, but I think I may just need to buy them first instead of trying to complete the design without units in-hand.

Target is 95db at 4-5m

Should this be understood as 107 dB at 1 meter anechoic?

Yeah-ish, 105db OK. Target is 1% distortion at that level, with both mains. Add a couple db with the center channel playing in DTS:Neural X.

I've abandoned the original big box layout and have gone with a triangle form: coax at the top, 10in woofer below, 15in sub at the bottom. Fully active: FA123 and FA251. Sensitivity is at 88db due to Kef coax unit. Pending measurements from the new 6in SBA coax...
