Preparation and use.
A more available source of ethanol in Australia and New Zealand is in Methylated Spirits that does not have methanol added as a component.
The Diggers Brand of methylated spirits MSDS for both countries shows ethanol(95%) and demineralised water(5%) as the ingredients. It may be the same for other brands sold here but check the particular MSDS online. Add a touch of an essential oil if you don't like the slight odour the of the spirits.
I can't speak for product sold in other countries.
Recipes for alcohol based hand sanitisers are readily found online. These usually add Glycerine(glycerol) or Aloe Vera as moisturiser to offset the drying of skin by the alcohol. A small amount of hydrogen peroxide is added in some recipes.
The bleach solution is good for wiping over grocery packaging when you get it home.
