I recently had the chance to spend some serious time with the SonicThrone by Norbert Reinhard – and honestly, it’s one of the most unique and immersive listening experiences I’ve ever had.

It’s not just a chair. It’s a stage. The way it creates a coherent, three-dimensional sound field around you is remarkable – instruments and voices appear in space with a lifelike presence and depth that I’ve never heard from conventional setups, no matter how expensive the gear.

What really struck me is how alive the music feels. You don’t just listen – you’re surrounded by the performance. The tonal balance, imaging, and dynamics work together to make the whole experience incredibly engaging and natural.

If you ever get the chance to try the SonicThrone, do it. It completely redefines what “immersive listening” can mean.

Looks like a nice chair... reasonably interesting concept I suppose.

In an old thread you mentioned the below;
I am an old hi-fi friend and develop speakers for friends, hi-fi stores and of course for myself.
I photographed for various HiFi magazines in Germany
Just asking, but do you have any commercial interest here?

I am normally suspicious of members with low post counts posting links that look like advertorials. But I thought I would Google it first to make sure it's not a scam, and then I followed that link.

I was wondering how the hell a listening chair can throw a three dimensional sound field around you.

What it is: a listening chair with built-in speakers in front of you and behind you, with DSP.

Oh. Maybe it's plausible then.

Presumably it has batteries or a very long power cord so that you can listen to it in the forest?

Sorry for the late reply. I've been out of the business for 16 years. If I develop anything now, it's for myself. And yes, the guy with the SonicThrone chair built our NextBoard over 10 years ago, which is a piece of furniture. And every now and then he makes me a case.

ah, an AI slop image to match the OP's AI slop post

If this product included a remains disposal function for those listening to Music To Die For who actually died I think the price tag would be very reasonable.

Why are you all so aggressive here? Do you really have to lash out at everyone so viciously? It's no fun! It's just like on all the other platforms. That's no way to treat each other. We're here to share impressions and information, not hatred. It's a shame that this community has been poisoned like all the others. This is a hobby, not politics. I think I'm going to log out of here. I don't want to deal with people like that. The people who write reports and tests here are really great people. They're definitely not like those guys who just complain all the time. I'm out, I'll look at the tests, for which I'm grateful. I can do without the stupid comments.
Bye!

Plenty of individuals here still smile and have a little fun. Please don't be deterred by the odd idiot - there are keyboard warriors everywhere.

Rise above their childish behavior. So childish that it can only be done behind that keyboard.

I assume that this product might be a bit better than my Moondrop Chu for the personal experience?
Not sufficiently to end my marriage and spend the Grandchidrens uni fees on, however.

You clearly knew that ASR members prefer to see more objective proof for product feature claims before you joined. Either take some ownership and defend your post or maybe you should not have posted. While there are some that will be more critical than others on any more open forum, would watch your tone and take some responsibility on your part.

Many would welcome a technical discussion of how this chair manages to offer a unique listening opportunity. Otherwise, it just seems like casual spamming and ASR does limit that sort of content. You are welcome to continue to enjoy the more technical threads and if you have questions, feel free to direct message or post to the forum suggestions. Before you do so, please be sure to read our Terms and Rules in the lower right. :)
