Disconnected my CD players / transports today and stored them and my CDs

My recommendation based on my long-year experiences of CD ripping and format conversion;

There's no audible benefit but I find using CDs to be less complicated than using a computer to play music.

I don't consider them clutter just like I don't consider books on shelves to be clutter.
I don’t consider those items clutter, more like old friends. We have a couple of Lorenz Cubes but they began to overflow as the CD collection expanded, first into baskets, then media storage boxes. After some time I ripped the collection for local streaming.

Things were okay but the corner always seemed to be in disarray because of new additions and reaching in for driving trips.

Recently I emptied all my CDs into cut down cardboard file boxes and put them into deep storage. New arrivals are ripped and enter CD purgatory, a holding box, awaiting the day they too are filed away. The collection is organized better than ever and will stay that way until the day of my estate sale.

Now it’s time to off the Lorenz Cubes.
