For anyone who didn't get this email be aware that this happened:
Dear Dirac Live user,
We are writing to inform you of a data security incident at Dirac Research AB that may have involved the email address registered with your Dirac Live account.
What happened
On 22–23 December 2025, an external consultant’s account made unauthorised searches for email addresses within the Dirac Live License management system. The searches were generic and returned a limited subset of email addresses.
Your email address was included in the search results, but we cannot confirm whether it was exported and used.
No passwords or other categories of personal data were stored in this system; therefore, none were accessed. The unauthorised access was identified promptly and immediately terminated.
What this means for you
There is an increased risk of targeted phishing emails, spam, or other unsolicited messages that may appear to come from Dirac or relate to Dirac products.
We have reason to believe that some affected addresses received unauthorised offers of Dirac Live licence via a third-party website called “Texas Hifi.” This entity is not affiliated with Dirac nor will it be an authorised reseller. The website has been taken down.
What have we done
- Secured the affected system and blocked the unauthorised access.
- Conducted a comprehensive internal investigation.
- Reported the incident to law enforcement and to the relevant supervisory authority.
What you should do
- Be cautious of unexpected emails offering Dirac products or requesting personal information.
- Purchase Dirac Live licenses only through our official website or authorised resellers.
For questions about this incident or the handling of your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected] or for other questions contact our helpdesk at https://helpdesk.dirac.com.
