Dirac Live on RZ-30 - trouble running calibration

I have an Onkyo RZ-30 with Dirac Live. I completed the dirac live calibration just fine a couple months ago. I recently bought some new speakers and would like to perform the same calibration.

It's not working correctly. When it first plays white noise to set volume for each speaker it does not play properly. It plays for a fraction of a second, then silence, then it plays some more. Then it goes to the other speaker and does something similar. It should play a constant white noise for a couple seconds I believe. After doing this I get an error claiming the background noise is too loud. I try setting the volume manually and move onto the full frequency sweeps. Again, it doesn't play it clean. It spits and sputters its way through the sweeps. Test cannot be completed.

Has anybody experienced this? I tried power cycling the receiver as well as my phone. I power cycled the home router. I tried again the next day with no improvement.

I occasionally have had to re-run Dirac Live for my 'similar' Pioneer '505' AVR. I have to temporarily disable my forced-air furnace when doing this or I can get an error message of too much background noise.

I wonder if this problem is specific to enabling Dirac or not. Will your Onkyo RZ-30 let you calibrate with the AccuEQ software ?

Hopefully another member can offer a solution before you have to contact Onkyo.

Thanks for the response. I don't believe the background noise is actually the issue due to how it's attempting to play the white noise. It seems unable to simply play a clean white noise or a sweep.
