I've got myself a Denon X6800H yesterday to use Dirac Live. Dirac Live didn't find my Receiver, even with IP Adress. At the same time the webUI was working in my browser. So what network issue is this?
After exploring with Wireshark I found the solution: Dirac uses UPNP M-Search Multicast packets to find your receiver in the local network. You have to make sure, that these multicast packets are received at the network port where the receiver lives. I've got three switches cascaded and I had forgotten to enable IGMP Snooping on all Switches. After activating, I could see the HTTP/XML responses of my receiver in Wireshark.
UPNP M-Search request after starting Dirac Live:
Reply of my Denon X6800H, Dirac Live show the denon receiver at the same second in GUI.
