Dirac Live Exclamation Mark issue

Do your results make sense? I have been able to "complete the measurement process" with several software versions but the "results" have been weird especially nonsensical subwoofer delays. I have not tried the new beta yet (hoping to confirm it actually work before I spend the time).
Well, still testing but the first thing I noticed is that all speaker levels are way higher than should be. My subs are pretty much calibrated to perfection via REW and MiniDsp so I only need Dirac to handle the mains integration, it sounds OK but will do some REW measurements to check.

Bit the bullet, took my PTSD meds and attempted 3.11 beta…..imprecise measurement error . . .

Why the beta? Version 3.11 was released on 11th November.

I have taken measures to improve my room acoustics and would like to recalibrate.

I had very good results with version 3.10.3 and I'm afraid it might get worse with version 3.11.

Can you advise me to use 3.11 or would it be better to work with 3.10.3?

Thanks for feedback :)

I don’t know sorry. If you’re currently happy maybe leave it alone?

Today I tried the full release 3.11.0 and had some success! So for me 3.11 is the first time since 3.4.4 iirc that it worked.

After the last speaker replacement, recalibrating with Dirac frustrated me so much that I gave up.
However, there is a new firmware version for the Denon X3800h as well as new Dirac beta software (3.12). With this combination there were no measurement problems at all. So maybe give it a try ...

unless it uses pink noise and all the band filters laid out easily so can balance out speakers with mic up close to each driver and since it doesn't support 20,200 bands of filters per channel and no outboard device system has been made cheap for £200 for this overrated robbing EQ audio hi-fi market , then dirac is never going to be used at this THX cinema otherwise i be wasting my time , i don't want to use Q bandwidth at cutting few corners , know what i want , so why don't they make it and make a 40 channel version £200 anything over that is daylight robbery

You're winning the numbers game, that's for sure ... If only cramming speakers into every available spot would equate to better sound.

On your Nad m10, I have one also but it keeps saying failed. I to find out what's happening. My mic seams to be calibrated working in the program but I think this version of Windows on a Surface pro 7 plus has something else on, keeping the mic from being used properly. Frustrating.

I've tried it two ways, one with the supplied mic and USB on the M10, the other with an omni lab mic and an interface used on my PC. I got pretty much the same results either way.

I will try the laptop mic and see what happens. Thanks for the help I specifically purchased Nad M10 v2 for Dirac. I would like to get it to work.

Let us not forget this is still an issue, even with the latest version 3.13.2. I've never had any issue with v3.8.2 on my NAD C658, using the included mic connected to the amp. But with my NAD M33 I've no success. High gain, low gain, high or low master volume, it just doesn't work. All I get are "imprecise measurements". Best I could do was importing the v3.8.2 curve and uploading it to the M33. A small win. VERY frustrating.

I agree, this must be very frustrating indeed..... :(

On a PC, using a UMIK-2 mic I have never seen this message since v3.10.X - but before that, I had the same experience, and it was indeed freaking frustrating

Dirac is a disaster, it only works sporadically. My current problem is that I have the full version, but I can only correct up to 500 Hz. Support reset my license, but that didn't work either. I've contacted support several times since then, and there's been no further response. Dirac is currently performing very poorly.

I also have the NAD M33. NAD says there are no problems on their side. You're left alone, having paid thousands of euros for the device.

for consolation, take a look at our experience Arcam/Harman Luxury receivers owners....

Can you be more specific? I have Dirac and one of those Harman Luxury receivers and it would be good to know what issues people are having.
