I've got a new Denon receiver supporting Dirac ART. After solving the network discovery issues there is another issue. My Motu m2 soundcard is detected but unusable in Dirac Live.
I've found a buffer related error entry in the log:

08:50:17.792 ERROR [rec_ep] failed with exception: wasapi: failed to init with buffer size 2048 `anonymous-namespace'::Logger::logRecEp (Logging.cpp:499)
(See error message 1)

I disabled the usage of exclusive Mode with the environment variable AUDIO_WASAPI_NON_EXCLUSIVE set to ON. This time there is a different message,
even more unprecise than before.

Is there anybody able to use the Motu M2 soundcard with Dirac Live?

I've also created a case with Dirac but got no answer so far.

Andreas

Have you tried ASIO4ALL ?

I was able to find a workaround. I had to set the sample rate of the MOTU input interface to 192 kHz in the Windows Control Panel. Strangely enough, the MOTU had been working fine in REW last year at 48 kHz. I cross-checked it yesterday with Audacity, and that worked fine as well.

I’m using ASIO4ALL with REW for the HDMI output, so it was already installed. From reading the Dirac logs, there seem to be buffer issues with WASAPI, as it doesn’t use ASIO.

I’m curious to see what Dirac support will say about my findings.
