Hi everyone,
I’ve been testing two room correction systems, Trinnov Nova and Dirac Live, with a stereo setup of two PMC 6.2 speakers. After the measurements, I’ve noticed something quite strange: with Trinnov, the low end sounds exactly as it was mixed, in stereo, with all the nuances intact. However, with Dirac Live, the low end seems to collapse to mono. As a result, I lose a lot of important details, from the reverb on the kicks to the width of pads and choirs when they’re in the lower frequencies. The stereo image in the low end is completely lost.
Does anyone know why this might be happening with Dirac? Essentially, what I’m observing is that Dirac collapses all the bass to mono, leaving no stereo information in the lower frequencies. Any help or insight on how to address this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
