Even better: these AVR/AVP were designed with Dirac ART in mind. And it´s exactly the reason why I bought a 2023 Denon. Hopefully they don´t keep us waiting forever on this cherry on the Dirac Live cake.Looks like CINEMA 40 and 50 are the siblings to X3800 and X4800? All of these have 4 independend subwoofer outputs which would be very handy with a bigger DLBC setup.
But no ART in sight ...
That's exciting and the 1st I've heard of this! Previously I only remembered the black Friday sales. This would be a nice gesture and a good business move if so.20% off Hollyday sale is expected to begin soon...
I doubt it. But would like to see some facts to the contrary.Hé all, question: if you have one subwoofer, is DLBC still a big step up??
IMHO this depends on the capabilities of both your main speakers and your subwoofer. One subwoofer combined with modest bookshelf speakers will probably give underwhelming results.Hé all, question: if you have one subwoofer, is DLBC still a big step up??
This is ridiculous prices, I will stick to Anthem with ARC Genesis! It's not pulled from the air... it is quoted on Dirac's website.
The price for the ART licence as an add on to an existing DLBC licence is US$299
Dirac Live for StormAudio - Dirac
Active Room Treatment for StormAudio calibrates your speakers as a unified system and uses each speaker's strengths leading to unmatched clarity.www.dirac.com
Bundle price for Dirac Full Frequency + DLBC multisub is US$649
So in "bundled" reduced pricing terms we have US$950
In full fat standard pricing:
Dirac Live Full US$350
DLBC Multi US$500
ART US$250
Total "unbundled" Pricing = US$1100
Dirac have been consistent in their pricing across platforms, so I see no reason to conclude that this will change now.
However, yes they have periodically had sales, with discounts of up to 30% (a 30% discount from the bundled pricing would be around US$650... one can hope!)
Yep, the new Arc Genesis is outstanding!Anthem is expensive but includes excellent room correction. Reliable with good customer support. I have the 520 and plan to upgrade.
I believe that ARC genesis equates to Dirac Live... it doesn't have the more advanced Bass tuning provided by DLBC or DL-ARTThis is ridiculous prices, I will stick to Anthem with ARC Genesis!

So the hierarchy of DSP room treatments is, I believe (roughly)
- Yamana YPAO, Onkyo AccuEQ, Pioneer MCACC, and other base schemes
- DiracLive, Audyssey, ARC - the "high quality" DSP room treatments
- Dirac DLBC - step up in bass integration
- Dirac-ART, Trinnov - current state of the art systems

I thought the ARC Genesis does exactly the same what DLBC multisub does without extra costs in MRX1140 or AVM70 and 90 models which are the only ones to have separate dual sub outs. @peng knows more?
