Digital XLR outputs - list of streamers or computer interfaces with AES/EBU

I still have my 10-year-old trusty Berkeley Alpha Design Alpha USB to AES/EBU converter that Amir reviewed way back in 2011 and is recently converted to Series 2 to support UAC2 USB specs :)

Very reliable piece of gear and it was SOTA at its heyday in 2009

Another one not really obvious -
Genelec 9320 runs all necessary genelec software calibration things plus volume/ in / out control
Getting data via USB from PC sends same via aes/ebu to monitors.
24/196 pcm is heaviest native audio data can be feeded into monitors.
DSD is to be converted on PC side before the genelec

Lynx Hilo includes a AES OUT
Merging HAPI base unit with no AD/DA Card includes 8ch of AES out over DB25 breakout cable

Actually, its quite amazing how short the list is of interfaces with this capability, even in 2026. Especially those with multiple CH of AES Out.

Yamaha DME64N format converters go for peanuts on eBay. 4 slots for add-on cards, which can cost more than the base frame

MY16-AE gives 16ch plain at fixed clock 48kHz, 8ch at 96kHz

MY8-AE96S adds sampling rate conversion (SRC) but only 8ch per slot.
