Digital Coax input selector switch?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend an option for switching between two digital coax input sources?

I would like to be able to switch between two inputs, so wondering if there is a switch box available. I have had a quick search online but can't find anything.
Alternatively, I presume theoretically, there's nothing wrong with just using a connector between cables and switching between the two manually. Not ideal, but simple. If so : Is it okay to do this without switching things off? I would imagine, being digital, there shouldn't be an issue with this?

Thanks in advance.

Basically you just want to switch several sources to one destination electrically. You could simply use a plain RCA audio switch for that. It's an RF signal, but simple switching shouldn't do anything bad enough to disturb it. Mechanical switches have a high enough bandwidth because it's just wires and metal contacts.

Bobwire rca1 should work. I love that device although I don't use one anymore.

Nice one, thanks. Yes, I am looking to be able to switch between a Bluetooth receiver and a streamer. Both with digital coax outputs. Going into a Tannoy TDX-1 digital system controller. The Bobwire is pretty expensive, so wondering if I could just use the switch box, second from the bottom in the photo below, which I have already. Presumably I would just use either the left or right channels and switch via this...

Can't take a photo easily, but essentially it's like this in terms of connections at the rear...(Photo from the internet)

Yes exactly, just use that. No need to buy anything. Problem solved!

Fun fact: these simple switches naturally work in reverse too. You can use them to switch one input to several outputs, should the need ever arise. :D

Yes, indeed, I've been doing that for several years with the four way switch for analog stereo... Now for digital.
That two way switch box is doing nothing currently too, and perfectly placed.

Excellent. Thanks again.

Thanks. Reckon I'll use my existing twin RCA switch box tho. It's not currently in use, so saves me buying anything additional.

Follow up question : Does this mean that cables marked "Digital Coax" are interchangeable with basic RCA/phono types. ie One channel (L/R), of your plain old, vanilla interconnects?

Cheers.

Yeah I've never had a problem interchanging then.
