Digit Triplet Test: Hear Speech in Noise

Some numbers are harder to listen, probably a spectrum thing...also sibilance in "six" is a tell.

I'm 47 and got SNR: -8.27db with NAD HP50 over old MBP headphone out.

Same here. I heard the first 9 digits at -10dB just fine, but then I got a '004' and heard it as '444'

'Oh' is my enemy! But I guess 'zero' would be too permeating.

Didn't we have the same kind of test one or two months ago linked in this forum? Different website, but absolutely the same principle.

Did this on a desktop pair of garbage Bose speakers (will do a proper test on the RME with Sennheisers going later maybe). I also listen to volume extremely low ever since I learned about how damaging high sound was back in highschool. And when you're taking the subway trains here in New York, you realize trying to overpower the ambient sound by use of Earbuds no less (not closed backs, and not IEM's) - you turn into me where most classical music needs to be turned up to even know if music is playing with my listening habbit (gapless playback sometimes has me thinking my music app crashed, or I pressed something for music to stop playing with how long some of the low-volume sections in classical can be).

At best, I could probably score a dB or two better. But tbh, if it's trying to test for intellegibility, then it seems like a pretty good test. But if it's trying to test for overall perception, I think I could go maybe a handful of dB better than this result.
