I must mention the residents e.g. This OK OK is more accessible than most from "Not available"

And Yello when they were weird.

And Autechre Confield. One of the most difficult albums I own

Well, I tried my best in the OP. First one is simply quite simplistic as far as composition (melody, harmony and rhythm) goes and certainly doesn't break any grounds.

Second isn't music, it's YouTube attention whoring. There can't be anything "different" about it as there's no composition; can't even call it interpretation, as it's exactly the same thing played with a different instrument.

I see this sort of thing less cynically, as basically like busking.

This group have a habit of churning out pieces that make you think ‘I’ve heard this before’ then 60 seconds in its ‘maybe not’. The drummer Seb Rochford is highly underrated from a commercial standpoint but possibly one of the most innovative percussionists in jazz alive, at least IMO:

Laibach - (1987) Opus Dei
Masterpiece from the seminal martial-industrial band. Also known as "Rammstein for adults".

Kayo Dot - (2003) Choirs of the Eye
The new maudlin of the Well (literally), continuing their experimental journey.

Mr. Bungle - (1991) Mr. Bungle
Another genre mixing first album from the band describing its sound as a mix of "Oingo Bongo, Camper Van Beethoven and death metal". With as much seriousness as Zappa.

Mortuary Drape - (1994) All the Witches Dance
Can only be described as occult doomy black metal. This band from Italy gave us something unique with an eerie atmosphere that compliment its harder moments perfectly.

Flower Travellin' Band - (1971) Satori
A very psychedelic and quite abrasive album from Japan. Kind of a less primitive Blue Cheer, almost with a taste of proto-metal.

Joyless - (2011) Without Support
Previously a black metal band known as Forgotten Woods, now doing incredible depressive rock. Not at all like Joy Division or The Sisters of Mercy, unlike what you might expect. This is their last album, a better introduction than the previous and less accessible one, Wisdom and Arrogance.

Magma is an obvious one, should have put it in the OP.

Laibach, a classic!

Mortuary Drape. Now you're making me feel old. Great stuff :D

I've never listened to Joyless. Checking them out ASAP, cheers.

^^^Holy shit!

I get what you're saying. Noted re free jazz and experimental - although it seems experimental [of some type] is relevant.
But I'll check some of your examples just now.
I think look at Soundcloud, record labels /collectives and tags with Ambient and Drone and Experimental, although it's probably too much work...I would even google Soundcloud and try to force it to AND those keywords, because people are too vague and too loose with tags there. ...And my definition [whatever] of Ambient is not usual, but the tag is often there is what I do go for. I exclude when all Nature/birds, cliche ocean waves white noise, or just "meditative".
Sometimes good when Metal or Industrial is an influence, or some reference to it.
