Difference in recordings in youtube

Why do these two recordings of the same speaker sound so different? In the first video the song sounds very dull and lifeless comapred to listening to them on headphones, whereas the second one sounds almost as good as listening to the actual recording. Is it the room?

It could be "anything". Add different microphones and different mic position to your list.

Recording music from a speaker is a poor way to evaluate/compare it. ...You can't evaluate the quality of a TV picture that way either.

because they are completely different recordings of different songs on different equipment with different mic positions in different rooms? unless your question is about how to get high quality recordings of speakers in rooms, these videos provide no useful information about how these speakers sound.

Pretty pointless evaluating speakers via YouTube if you ask me.
Find it bizarre myself.
