If it doesn’t help achieve the stated goal, it is a very big problem.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I just meant, converting via DDC can be transparent and inexpensive, so if you have a unit that meets your needs don't let lack of a specific input type stand in your way.

The WAU happens to be an excellent power amp, and great value with all those Ultra integrated features.
