I purchased some Edifier M60 speakers. I got super holiday deal for $149. I think they go for $199. They sound fantastic in the very nearfield fed by my desktop computer's USB output.

I tried the speakers next to my TV in a much larger room than my small office, and instead of my head being 2-feet from the speakers it was in a more typical listening position for TV watching or hi-fi listening. The Edifier sounded terrible. Connection was Bluetooth out of Roku.

They sound fine on Bluetooth on my desktop. I also tried via USB in a larger room. Poop.

Too small I guess with 3 inch woofer and designed for very near field.

So I grabbed some DEF LSX ii LT at Costco for $499. Good for TV and listening.

I am still very impressed by the M60s when Playing tidal on my desktop. They have a nice app, too. With some EQ, all in DSP. Bass is deep when on desk in nearfield. Great imaging. Erin gave them a good review and pretty good spinorama.

For $200 or less, Edifier M60 big thumbs up. I'd send to Amir but don't want to go without them.

Waiting for stands to arrive tomorrow for the KEFs.
