Does anyone know which capacitors on the X6700H that were problamatic to sound quality issues? I just purchased one from Ebay, but was not aware of the cap issues until now. This unit replaces my X4500H that will go into another room.

I'm asking because, I've noticed slight hiss while watching content on the Firestick with the volume at 30. With the content on pause & volume at 40, I can here hum too.

I have a Denon 2808ci, X4300H & 4500 & they are all clean with no hum & will hiss unless you jack the volume close to max.

I'm assuming the cap issues are with the monolithic amps. Eco mode on & the hum goes away but slight his remains.

I've skimmed through various post of Amirm review of the X6700H, but didn't see which caps could be a problem based on production runs of the unit. Unit SN: BCY062171218

My plan is to replace the capacitors myself, if need be...

What issues would those be particularly? Source? I've not read of such issues myself.

I take it you can't simply return it at this point as defective? All the other avrs were fine using the same power outlet/attached components?

The so-called bad caps were listed in the thread above. Correct, I can't return it & Im using the same 2 prong AC cord.

Hard to know it seems what was done by Denon to rectify in other production runs if at all. Not even sure you have the same issue. Missed that part about power cords being relevant?....
