Anyone else having issues with HEOS today? The app on my phone shows an error message and won't connect with my Tidal account. Using the on-screen menu on the TV it says I'm not connected to my wifi, even though it is, and not logged in to the HEOS account. Logging both of those back in resolves nothing. So it seems like a bug somewhere?

App last updated 2 weeks ago and no problems until today. Denon firmware is also up to date. I removed and reloaded the app, set up a new HEOS account, reset the Denon all with no joy.

CD and USB inputs on the Denon work as normal.

Has anyone experienced, and better yet remedied, this?

Same problem here. Unknown fault -3 with various services that can't be loaded.

Edit: my separate Denon and Marantz apps work normally

HEOS and my Denon RCD-N10. The RCD-N10 display shows "no internet connection" and of course in the remainder of the message I'm to be blamed....
Checked other devices in the house, and the switches, all is working. The port where the RCD-N10 is connected is lit and active.

The HEOS app never asks me to login. When I did an "Unclassified Error" popped up (error code -2000).

In the almost 7 years I've owned my Grace Digital Encore+ GDI-WHA7505, there's never been issues with their software or station look-up abilities.

I have had intermittent access problems with TuneIn etc. with HEOS and my RCD-N10 for a couple years now.

My antique Turtle Beach Audiotron had less problems!

Denon really needs to get their act together.

I just tried to log onto HEOS from my IPhone again, and now the error is" "Failed to Connect to the HEOS Server" "Verify that you are connected to the internet and then try again."

Well duh, I am connected, why aren't they (Denon)?

The few of us having problems seem to be completely SOL. The unit itself is incapable and the app is a total disaster. In hopes of breaking the logjam I uninstalled and reinstalled the android app. It won't let me log in. So I tried to set up a new account. Can't do that either.

So, HEOS is as dead / useless as Sonos. For the moment, anyway.

At least I can still play CDs.

Maybe it's the Tsunami off the West Coast causing all this trouble?

Heaven forbid It would be needed I connect an external antenna and listen to regular FM broadcast ..... shudder. ;)

I have the same problem with heos since yesterday 30th july evening at around 6pm CET. Did reinstalling of heos app, hard reboot and factory reset cinema 40. Nothing worked.

Seems heos server is down as I am unable to login to heos using my email id as well as password reset doesn't worked. Even clicking reset passpwrd doesn't send any email to my inbox.

Strange. I only rebooted my phone and this morning everything worked again.

I re-checked my Denon RCD-N10 after receiving the email notification that it was back up. I turned my receiver on, it started to play the last station accessed (WBGO 88.3FM New Jersey). The display however was blank.

I powered it off and back on again holding down the power button to force a "Restart", which it did. It started up and played the same station. On the display it now showed "Internet Radio" but never changed to display WBGO 88.3FM, bitrate, Artist-Title. I tried another "Restart", same result.

I tried the remote, using the CALL key which called up "HEOS Favorites". "HEOS Favorites" continued to display and then did not display my saved favorites list.

I was now able to miraculously login to the HEOS app on my Iphone.

I then tried to call up saved favorites from the app, which did work, however no matter which saved station I picked, the display only showed "Internet Radio", and never changed to display the stations ID, bit rate, Artist-Title.

It continued to display "Internet Radio"

At this point I had hoped something was garbled in the RCD-N10 memory. I powered it off, unplugged the cord and let it sit for at least 1/2 hour.

Upon plugging it back in, everything was now as it should be.

This is not the first time there's been an inconsistency in operation.

Why does this seem to always happen when Denon has "down" time?

At times I wish my "favorites" station list could be saved locally in a txt file, on a usb memory stick, or on one of my PCs where it can be accessed by the RCD-N10, just as the last revision of the Turtle Beach Audiotron software was, but that might be too "tech oriented" for the average user, and make too much sense?

At least with my Grace Digital Encore+ I can access station IP settings etc. via web browser interface and update them as needed.

The problem still there. In marantz cinema 40, heos favorite is still showing grey.

It started working for me late last night. Just checked again and it is still functioning.

Maybe they had some internal hiccup that got worked out.

And this is why I refuse to buy in to HEOS there is no technical reason why it should require an account or login yet they insist on it and it makes it less robust.

Sonos is a similar issue.

MusicCast doesn’t need a login but is mostly moribund.

Everything else is just skin on a streamer and relies upon Google Cast and thus a login for multiroom or AirPlay 2 which implies recompression.

So no one gets my money since the product I want does not exist.

or AirPlay 2 which implies recompression.
for what it’s worth, Airplay 2 *can* stream lossless 16/44.1 (and I *think* even up to 24/48) if the source app only supports Airplay 1. I was surprised to discover the Windows Apple Music app streams lossless to my Denon.

But this is a fairly arbitrary distinction with no real consistency, and no straightforward way to distinguish. The Apple Music app on my iPhone obviously does compress.

This will definitely make me circumspect next time the app wants to update.

Anyone else having issues with HEOS

When I switched on my HEOS player yesterday, no sound, so I turned on my other non-HEOS stereo as an internet test and music played. I listened to that and didn't think much about it until reading your post. Just now turned on the HEOS player and everything is fine.

The gremlins definitely got loose yesterday!

Same here yesterday, Unknown fault -3 with Tidal or also Radio stations, A1h shows no internet connection, but Airplay was working fine. No problems today so far with streaming services.
