Denon AVR-X6700H with Buckeye NCx500

So how did it go for you? I also have a X6700H and have been looking at those Buckeye amps.

They work great! Absolutely dead quiet, no hiss. I did get a very slight hiss from Denon amps when ear is placed against tweeter. Not detectable from a few feet away, however. At moderate listening levels I do not hear any difference in sound quality. I did notice with power hungry speakers, the bass had more bottom end when pushing to loud levels....again subtle. I purchased the 2 Buckeye amps because, at the time, I was planning to upgrade to a Marantz AV10. When the Stock Market started swinging I delayed the purchase. So far there has been no issues with the amps....except the NC502-8CH needs to be turned on in a specific sequence. It has 2 power plugs, 2 on/off switches....and if you attempt to turn amp off (for whatever reason) with the rear switches...it will show a fault. Once those switches are placed to on...and the 12v trigger from Denon turns them on...no issues. Learned to leave those on. Once you do hook up amps...you will need to recalibrate speaker levels. I did mine manually and needed to increase levels 3-4 dB. I purchased Monoprice XLR Male to RCA Male cables....cheap, work great!

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of doing just the L,C,R speakers.
