Hello. Need some opinions of the Denon AVR-670H.
Opinions on what, exactly? What's your situation and setup? What are your needs?
Without measurements it's hard to know for sure, but there's no apparent reason to think the 670 has any disadvantage to the 590. Most likely it's a straight side-grade in most respects, you're just getting the upgraded HDMI board with eARC.
I meant a full suite of measurements as Amir does when he reviews AVRs here. Click the "Reviews" button in the upper-left corner if you're unfamiliar with our patron's reviews of gear. What did you mean my measurements, wattage?
The house that I'm in right now is the house that I'll be in until I'm horizontal. That being said, way I've got everything set up all I need is 5 channel plus subwoofer/s surround. And I'm looking for something that can handle 4 ohm speakers. 670 can. Even though the paperwork for the 590 does it say anything about 4 ohm (there is info for 6 ohm speakers), it does a good (not great) job.Aside from the newer hdmi/hdcp I'd think they're fairly similar, and expecting a sound signature at all is odd, they both have the same basic Audyssey MultEQ too. I'd rather have an X series and preferably 3xxx or above series for the better Audyssey, pre-outs, better power supply, etc.

That doesn't have a lot to do with it. Your speaker wattage ratings are probably continuous power and just a damage point. You can use much higher power amps without issue as long as you have judicious control of the volume knob Plus surrounds are usually several dB down from mains....Plus my surround speakers will only handle up to like 60 watts each.
Hello. Need some opinions of the Denon AVR-670H.
I did notice there was no particular mention of compatibility with the Audyssey MultEQ Editor App.....the 770 for that I think is definitely worth extra expense.Even with a five speaker setup, consider the Denon AVR-S770H.
Amir reviewed the $19.99 Audyssey 'MultEQ Editor' App and considered it to provide room correction that was very close to that obtained by Dirac Live and Anthem ARC:
Audyssey Room EQ Review
This is a review and detailed measurements of the Audyssey Room Equalization. Audyssey is standard technology in a number of Audio/Video Receivers such as the Denon AVR-X3600H I recently reviewed. The standard version in the AVR is mostly all or nothing so I downloaded the Marantz/Denon...www.audiosciencereview.com
The app is available at the Google Play and Apple App stores.
The Denon AVR-S670H is not listed as a receiver that is compatible with the Audyssey MultiEQ Editor App
The Denon AVR-S770H is listed as a receiver that is compatible with the app.
Is the AVR-S770H listed as being stable down to four ohms?I did notice there was no particular mention of compatibility with the Audyssey MultEQ Editor App.....the 770 for that I think is definitely worth extra expense.
No Denon has an actual 4 ohm rating I'm aware of. If you have truly low impedance needs an external amp and an avr with pre-outs is a better way to go IMO.Is the AVR-S770H listed as being stable down to four ohms?

Don't know how they determine that particularly let alone what 4 ohm stable means. When I'm looking on crutchfield I always go to the left menu and check "4 ohm stable" and "5 channels".
And the only den on that comes up is the S670.
The Denon European specification sheet for the AVR-S670H does NOT mention 4 Ohm, only 6 Ohm for speaker output. You should probably check the speciation sheet to confirm the seller has correctly recorded the details. When I'm looking on crutchfield I always go to the left menu and check "4 ohm stable" and "5 channels".

Some might have a "dynamic" rating at four ohm, but can't think of any that come with full four ohm ratings, just typically 8 and or 6 ohm. Even Denon's flagship isn't rated for four ohm. I would still use a Denon with a four ohm speaker to a point, tho (I have three). There's many AVRs with 4 ohm ratings, and if the 590 was handling your speakers then there's no reason to think the 670 will have issues. You can always buy from somewhere with a generous return policy, like Crutchfield, so you can try it and return it in the unlikely event there's a problem.
Hello. Thanks for answering. Please define "dynamic".Some might have a "dynamic" rating at four ohm, but can't think of any that come with full four ohm ratings, just typically 8 and or 6 ohm.
