I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but after updating the DENON A1H to the latest firmware for ART support, I discovered that the pre-configured Surround Height mode is missing the left and right height channels when playing 9.1.6 tracks (00038.m2ts).

I have to manually switch the setting to Top Middle to get the audio to function correctly.

Denon's firmware updates don't always help.

According to Denon's clarification, the Surround Height L/R channels are inactive during Dolby Atmos playback.

Since the physical placement of the Surround Height speakers allows for a 'toe-in' setup, I mistakenly configured them as 'Surround Height L/R' outputs. In reality, current playback only supports 'Top Middle L/R' outputs, while the 'Surround Height L/R' channels remain silent.

I appreciate the feedback provided above. It appears that Dirac ART now supports this specific configuration.

While a Dolby compatible speaker configuration can work for Auro 3D, an Auro 3D speaker configuration does not work with Dolby. Surround Height speakers, if configured as such, will not produce sound with Dolby signals.
