Hi to everyone.

Im planning to buy a used Denon 3600 or 3700 for a 7.2.4 dolby atmos.
I have already an old 5.1 yamaha rxv 420 5x65w rms and i am planning to buy also 2 aiyima a07 for 150euros.

I have read that denon are Hot avrs so was thinking to connect yamaha on 4 side and back channel preouts the 2 aiyima on the heights preouts and leave the front lcr to denon.
Will denon run cooler and more power to the lcr? Amir say that denon 3 channel Output is 119watt.
Is my thought correct or missing something.
Is it better to use 3600 or 3700 for this project.

Forgot to mention tha my lcr speakers is Focal Aria 906 and Aria 900cc all the rest speakers are 90db sensitivity and 80w rms.

The Yamaha does not make sense in your setup anymore.

It would work like this :
Denon Preout to Aiyima for 4 channels
For other channels use Denon built in amps.
Sub connect to LFE out at Denon.
Denon XT32 Audyssey handles RoomEQ.

If you are getting the 3600 or 3700, there is no need to use the old RX-V420. Unless there are features you need on the 3700, the 3600 should be good enough.

I was thinking to use it Just for power 4 sourounds to help denon run cooler and have more power for the focals.
Amir said denon give 119watt on 3 channel 100watt on 5 channel if i let 7channel on denon will be lower watt per channel

Does the rxv420 have the analog inputs for the 4 surround channels for connection to the Denon's pre outs? I don't think so.

It is easier to get a $15 quiet fan.
