I thought this might be helpful. I'll start:

DBT - Double blind testing; this is a basic requirement in any listening test to avoid confirmation bias

Tmt. - Treatment; as in room treatments such as diffusers and absorbers

Bass Trap - used to reduce peaks and dips in the low frequencies or as a way to get dinner

Diffuser - a room tmt. that scatters high freq. "beams" of sound in different directions; will always absorb some sound too

Audiophool: One who spends large amounts of cash on audio components and accessories where the claimed benefits have no basis in proven fact nor reality.
The modern audiophool is convinced of these virtues via the use of literary devices such as:
1. Non-sensical descriptive language (ie: buttery midrange, lots of air, more musical)
2. First hand accounts of hands-on experience by a stranger on the internet in a different environment. Said accounts are often bolstered by the usually uninterested wife/girlfriend so moved by the component in question, they feel compelled to speak out despite observing from another location
3. Claims that the particular item represents a benefit to price ratio unmatched in modern history

Sounds a lot like modern ads/marketing.
