DBA (Double Bass Array) - marketing?

one probably needs individual delay and level (phase?) adjustments for each of the subs

Is it a combination of delay and polarity? Or does it reflect all the limited number of PEQs?

pure delay and polarity optimization for maximum total output.

This is after equalizer correction.
I can't believe - you just admitted you are trolling! Didn't you repeatedly declare that just moving the single sub across the room is all we need to get flat frequency response?
So I have bad news for you - in spite of EQ you ended up with 8 dB dip over span of 1 octave!

No decent home setup is possible without the use of an equalizer. I thought it was obvious on this forum, and I often don't even mention it because it's self-evident.

Installers are pushing multi-subwoofer configurations as a way to suppress mods to customers in my country, even when a single subwoofer will do.
Okay. We don’t know about the installers you’ve experienced.
However, we still don’t quite understand which part of the DBA you described as “marketing madness” relates to your extreme experience.
Just to let you know, I do somewhat understand your position as the OP. That’s why I wrote it this way.
Since everyone has to choose what they want (or what’s feasible) based on their own situation, I don’t think anyone would say that DBA is always the answer no matter what.
Therefore, it would be even better if you could share the REW mdat files you measured to help us understand your situation more easily.
