David builds dual mono 3e Audio 480-1-29A Amplifiers

Great job!

Did you tap the heatsinks (between the fins) for the amp/psu mounting screws or screw/nut them?
The bottom of built in amp board heat sink has drilled and tapped hole, I just drilled through holes in the heat sink to mount the amp board,

Layout for the holes is in a doc on 3e Audios web site,

You can see the hole drilling drawing I am working from in the photo below,

For the power supply, it was through holes and machines screws, washers, lock washer, nut.

Curious to hear your sonic review. I know all the accolades of TP3225. Tried early module but think I experienced the current limiting. Then later tried the Fosi ZA3 that youtuber's tout. Overall when I tried them, while was impressed by the mid an upper range smoothness and detail, I felt like there was not much punch. Perhaps that is from my early experience distorting my perception. Curious to hear what golden ears say in an unbiased discussion - i am really starting to hate social media, like what can you trust anymore.

@DaveFred such an incredible build. I wish I had that level of patience and skill!

Had to build one myself, does sound quite nice. Of course when make one self, bias makes think better the fosi za3 one, or whatever that "upgraded" one utuber's tout with the gold knob.
I used surplus single 32vac 400va toroid (think still some avail on 'bay), gives me about 44vdc rail. 6 x 3300uf Panasonic electrolytic's and a soft start module had in my bin.
3D printed shell. Toggle switch on back to ground IN- if wanna go unbalanced input. Ended up with the framework as had this aluminum structure (1/8" angle stock) built holding a ice 1000asp module that moved to diff chassis some time back.
