Hello All,
Would you please recommend a portable DAP, preferably with a clip, that supports inline controls via (wired only IEMs) cable and in particular (1) fast-forward and rewind and (2) volume control. Apart of music, I listen to lots of job-related audio seminars which are quite dense on facts and very often I have to rewind quickly (if briefly distracted or the point made is important).
In essence I look for similar functionally as provided by iPod Nano 6/7 (or other mapping, say 3x clicks on center button to skip predetermined amount back)
- Fast-forward: Press the center button twice quickly and hold.
- Rewind Press the center button three times quickly and hold.
There are multiple reasons the said iPod will not suit my needs, and at least one of them is the asking price for a device that do not offer much in terms of storage capacity, batttery life, etc.
Currently I am using Sandisk Clip Sport Plus, which however seems to be using 3.5mm TRS output, thus no wired cable inline controls are supported. Temporary solution is an app on my android phone called AntennaPod, which via apple usb-c to 3.5mm dongle supports wired inline controls and allows to jump forward/back by 2x or 3x center button click. This however sacrifices the possibility for next/previous track.
Thanks in advance.
