Dan Clark Stealth Review (State of the Art Headphone)

Are you familiar with the E3 as well? To me it was the better of the two, and at half the price.
I've heard of it, of course! Haven't had a chance to hear either yet. I confess, the look of the Stealth just appeals to me more. Not sure it appeals more enough to be worth the price jump though hahah.

The heart wants what the heart wants… but man, that’s one expensive heart:)

Also, do you actually need a closed-back? I have the E3 and love it, but during summer it's difficult to have it on. That new XO is looking mighty tempting…

Really nice to see a small audio company being a positive exception in mostly overpriced poor "high end" engineering, even more at headphones. Hope Mr. Clark will continue his success story and there will technology diffusion in the future also to lower price models, despite being a loudspeaker listener I could be tempted to buy something like that in at approximately one grand, maybe in 3-5 years from now? Time will tell...
While waiting for the Dan Clark Aeon Core I ordered for $899 to arrive in a few days, I’ve been spending some time reading this thread and seeing many comments like the above, hoping that the superlative but expensive Stealth will translate into more affordable successor headphones in the future, with design and sound quality that benefit from the excellence of the Stealth.

Well, here we are six years later. And that’s what I’m hoping the new Aeon Core achieves.

I'm sure you'll dig these. I bought these immediately after Amir's review. Zero regrets and the best headphones I've listened too.

I have the Stealth and I bought the Corina, too.... both really excellent.

Personally, I like closed back way more than open back. It's just way easier to wear and you get much better performance out of it because of the lower noise floor.

Well, nearly 5 years! I might have thought about buying these if they were a bit less than $899 here in the UK, but here in the UK they go in the opposite direction and get even more expensive! They should be a good headphone for you though.
